Back to the Future: the Walkman Turns 40

Sony’s Walkman launched 40 years ago. The device changed the urban experience when it allowed walking while privately listening to music for the first time, and separating the visible from the audible like never before. For one Saturday only, the Walkman returns to the Liebling Haus! Walkman players will be waiting for visitors at the reception during opening hours, inviting you to listen to new music, old recordings, and a 20-minute architectural mixtape compiled specifically for a self-guided tour of the Liebling Haus.
Join a recording workshop for the whole family where we trace the distinctive sound of an audio cassette, with its interruptions and noise, and use it to create a unique soundtrack.
12:00 at the Liebling Haus. For registration, visit our website: Activities for the Family -> Back to the Future: the Walkman Turns 40 -> Sound Workshop.
