From the Research Lab: Activism in Architecture

The Liebling Haus’ content director Sharon Golan-Yaron invites Dr. Shelly Cohen to a critical discussion about architects who shape reality using professional tools, focusing on planning for vulnerable population groups in Israel and the West Bank. The lecture explores these projects as part of the recent global trend among architects promoting social change, examining the motives of social initiatives in architecture related to the Ethics of Care concept, highlighting interpersonal relationships as central to moral action. Dr. Shelly Cohen studies the social aspects of space in Israel. A former curator at the Architect’s House Gallery, she is currently a lecturer at the David Azrieli School of Architecture at Tel Aviv University.
