The School of the City
The School of the City views the urban environment as a space for action and learning. The educational program at the Liebling Haus, in schools, and around the city offers a place for experimentation and activity for all ages. The School of the City is inspired by the Bauhaus, integrating knowledge and practice from various fields – architecture, design, and art. The School of the City will host various activities at the Liebling Haus and across the city during the opening events.

How do babies experience and study space, and what can we learn from them to better understand our environment? Tour for the whole family.
Experience Architecture #3

What is architecture, and how do we experience it? Come to acquire tools and practice methods of getting acquainted with familiar or new places in a guided activity, or on a self-guided tour of the building. Activities for all ages:
I’m at home: an audio tour of the building for 8-12 year-olds. Go on a self-guided tour using the Liebling Haus Audio app or borrow an audio guide at the entrance. Soundtrack Design: Yoni Tal; Narration: Sarah Goldman and Jonathan Marcus.
Dov and I: a tour for kids following the building’s architect, Dov Karmi. Kids should be accompanied by an adult. A measuring tape will be provided at the entrance.

A tour of the White City Center’s new garden, where we will see a catalog of plants found in Tel Aviv, and discuss the Garden City vision of urban planner Sir Patrick Geddes and how it is being implemented today.
