Historic Urban Landscape

​

In 2011, UNESCO adopted a series of recommendations designed to help balance urban development needs with the preservation of urban heritage. This approach - known as Historic Urban Landscape (HUL) - can have a profound impact on the way our city will be shaped in the coming years and advocates several key principles: Restricting development and adapting it to the physical and cultural space of each city; preserving local subcultures; and promoting sustainability, and communities.
